Our hotel accommodations were terrific both in Melbourne and Sydney. Furthermore, several of the tennis stars were staying at the Crown and we saw them in the lobby with their entourage. The bus tour of Melbourne was great and we were able to walk almost everywhere. The tennis tournament and venue was fun. Our seats in the Rod Laver Arena were the best. If I went again, I would only request seats in the lower deck in Margaret Court….like the ones that we had in Rod Laver. The Sir Stamford hotel in Sydney is a classy old hotel within walking distance of the Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Harbor Bridge, the Rocks district and the Botanical Gardens. The service was great and the bus tour and opera house tour were both terrific. We were there for Australia Day (January 26th) which is a major celebration throughout the entire country. Michael Jeffs was a terrific host and helped us with any questions we had. Finally, congratulations to those damn Panthers….they really are pretty good. I don’t think I would bet against them in the Super Bowl.
