Where should we stay in London?

Most visitors do best in central or west London, in areas such as Kensington or Chelsea. On match days, take the District line to Southfields, then walk about 15 minutes to the gates. Wimbledon station is a longer walk, and traffic near the grounds is slow, so taxis aren’t the fast option.

Wimbledon Village is closer, but it’s small, and its rooms sell out early for the fortnight. Choose central London if the trip is also about seeing London. Choose the village only if tennis is the whole trip.
