How Much Does It Cost to Attend Wimbledon?
Attending Wimbledon on a Budget: The Queue
For fans who want to experience Wimbledon without breaking the bank, The Queue is a quintessential option. Here’s what you need to know:
The Queue Process:
Arrive early (or camp overnight) at Wimbledon Park to secure your spot in The Queue. Yes, you can bring your camping gear but when you enter Wimbledon, you will need to carry it with you. Remember to pack toiletry items to freshen up as most people at Wimbledon are dressed up for this special occasion. Many people who have queued for Wimbledon have fond memories of the people they met in line and spent hours together waiting to get in.
On the day, you can purchase tickets for Centre Court, No.1 Court, No.2 Court, or Grounds Passes at face value. You will enter with a grounds pass and then you can get in another line inside to see if you can get a pass for one of the ticketed courts. You may not get seats together if you are with other people but getting a seat is the most important part if you want to see some of the major players!
Ticket Prices (2024 figures):
Centre Court tickets: From £75 to £250, depending on the day.
Grounds Pass: Around £30, granting access to outside courts and Henman Hill/Murray Mound to watch matches on the big screen.
Tips to Save:
Bring your own food and drinks to avoid high-priced concessions.
Opt for public transportation instead of driving.
Cost Estimate:
A budget-conscious fan can attend for as little as £50–£70 per day, including tickets, food, and transportation.
Premium Experience with MAC Sports Travel
MAC Sports offers hospitality packages designed to provide a seamless Wimbledon experience. These packages include:
Centre Court or No.1 Court Tickets: Prime seating with exceptional views of the action. Our Centre Court seats are all in the lower level just behind the members sections. Our Court 1 seats are in the first 15 rows depending on when you book.
Exclusive Dining: Access to exclusive restaurants with gourmet meals, afternoon tea, and open bars. Food and drinks are not included in the price, but access to purchase them in the Debenture lounge is.
Lounge Access: Relax in style before and after matches in upscale lounges.
Extras: Dedicated host to guide you through your experience, local culture and traveling with fun clients so you feel like you know people at the tournament.
We do not recommend paying extra for full hospitality. These tents are not near the courts, serve food at specific times when you might prefer to be at a match, have stricter dress codes and clients have never felt they were a good spend of money.
Cost Estimate:
Packages start around $4911 per person for a single day on Centre Court and a 3 night stay at the hotel for double occupancy. Prices vary depending on the match day, with finals packages reaching upwards of $30,000.
Most people book our First week package that includes a 4 night stay at the hotel with breakfast and 2 days at Wimbledon with 1 day on Centre Court and 1 Day on Court 1. This package also includes a social on the first Sunday night that takes place in Wimbledon at a local Tennis club and includes food and drinks. Guests are welcome to hit some balls on the astrograss and are encouraged to wear white. Our clients love meeting like minded travelers and often make plans to see each other on future trips. Your first week package might look like this:
Arrive Sunday morning. Hotel check in is at 2 pm
Attend the social on Sunday evening
Meet your host in the lobby Monday morning and travel by tube about 25 minutes to Wimbledon. Spend the day on Court 1. Your tickets also include access to the Wimbledon Museum and all of the outside courts.
Meet in the lobby on Tuesday morning and travel by tube to attend Centre Court at Wimbledon.
Take an included at no cost tour of the Crown Jewels and Tower of London on Wednesday. This the “decompression tour” because after your amazing Wimbledon experience, you often need something to calm you down!
The price for a package like this is $7511 per person for double occupancy. If you are a single traveler, the price is $8611. These prices do change often and booking earlier is always best. The best time of year to book Wimbledon is late July through September. After this the prices start to creep up. The earlier you book your package, the better seat selection as well.
Wimbledon also charges a fee for any denomination of seats that are not 2. It is recommended that you try to travel in even numbers of people and not pay the surcharge to avoid the extra expense. Often families will want to sit together, which is understandable. If we can help you avoid the fee, we will but just know this could add to the cost of your package.
These packages are perfect for those seeking a seamless and exclusive Wimbledon experience. People who try to piece the experience together often end up paying more and experiencing less. We have taken hundreds of clients to Wimbledon over the years and everyone has had an amazing time, recognizing the both service and value offered.
